“With winter coming on in the midst of an unflagging, even increasing pandemic, NOW is the time more than ever to express our gratitude for what we have (or have been spared) by helping those in dire need; hunger being the most elemental and urgent of needs.” – Gene Berger, owner of Horizon Records.
GIVING BACK
Since 1975 we have been proud to be your hometown record freaks. Through the years (thick and thin), you’ve been there for us. This holiday season, we want to be here for each other by collecting for our neighbors in need. So we’ve partnered with the heroes at LOAVES & FISHES GREENVILLE to ROCK THE PANTRY.
We will be collecting canned and other non-perishable food items to help support the families that rely on food banks (whose supplies are currently being impacted due to Covid-19). We will also take cash and debit/credit card donations at check out. It’s a quick and easy process, and ALL of your donation will go to Loaves & Fishes. We will of course be kicking out the jams with great RSD BLACK FRIDAY EXCLUSIVE TITLES, but we love our community; so let’s ALL come home for the holidays TOGETHER.
Loaves & Fishes reduces hunger in Greenville County through rescuing food that would otherwise be wasted and delivering it to partner agencies for distribution to those in need. They serve as a vital conduit through which businesses can contribute to the community in a meaningful way and surplus food can be maximized. Their goal is to eliminate food insecurity among our neighbors by working to ensure no good food goes to waste. They rescued and delivered over 2.1 MILLION POUNDS of food in 2019, including fresh produce, dairy products, canned goods, frozen meats, prepared foods, bread and other bakery items.
